International Orangutan Day 2015

On International Orangutan Day, I thought I would share some of my favorite images of these gorgeous and unique great apes. The population of these beautiful creatures in the wild, THEIR own habitat, is sadly and quickly declining. You can read more about their loss of habitat and life due to the demand for palm oil and being sold on the black market into the illegal pet trade here. I'm going to make it a point to be more proactive in checking ingredients before purchasing products that may contain palm oil and also make a donation to The Sumatran Orangutan Society, one of many organizations that are raising money to help these creatures. Every year I have the absolute pleasure of taking this blonde beauty's yearly birthday photos! She has such a fun personality with just that little bit of spunk that is going to get her places in life. Yes, at age 7, I already feel comfortable saying that. At the end of the shoot as I was saying good bye to her and her Nana, she said "See you at my number 8!" .

Love this family and this little man. It's hard to believe he is now 4 years old! I absolutely loved this session of his. As you can see I was so drawn into his beautiful eyes. And that hair...little boys with curls just melt my heart!

Smitten with Britton (Norman, OK | Newborn Photographer)

To say that Miss B's older siblings are smitten with her is an understatement. They are so incredibly in love with her. What a wonderful testament to her parents for raising kids who love and love big and hard. I was so excited to learn that baby number 4 was expected because I know these parents have so much love to give. This family has been with me from almost the very beginning of my photography career and the relationship we have developed is a very special one! Love you guys so much!

One of the reasons I love Facebook is because I get to keep up with all of my little clients and their milestones. Today this handsome little guy is THREE! Where has the time gone? As you can see, Jackson has come to visit me several times and my camera absolutely loves him as does my heart. If you have a little one celebrating a birthday and would like him or her to be featured on their birthday on my blog, just let me know. Not everyone's feed ends up on my homepage, so sometimes it can go overlooked. Jackson, I hope you have the most wonderful third birthday. You are a very loved little boy and you bring so much joy to everyone!

Sunday’s Showcase Senior, Moore High School (Moore, OK | Senior Photographer)

Today's Sunday Showcase is this absolutely stunning Moore High School 2015 senior. She was a dream in front of my camera, as were her two older sisters. Not only is she a beautiful girl on the outside, her inside is full of love, compassion, and beauty. It has truly been my pleasure to get to meet this family and their beautiful children.
